Grenade explosion wounds civilian in northern Baghdad

( Baghdad – A police source announced on Tuesday, that a civilian was wounded in an explosion of two grenades, while a security force managed to dismantle an improvised explosive device in a-Huseiniya area in northern Baghdad.

The source said in a press statement followed by, “This evening, two hand grenades emplaced in the garbage in al-Huseiniya area in northern Baghdad exploded, wounding a civilian while passing in the area.”

The source added, on condition of anonymity, “A police force cordoned off the incident area and transferred the wounded to a hospital to receive treatment.”
