Grenade throwers on Sahwa house nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces in Basra arrested on Sunday two persons who could be involved in using a grenade to attack the house of the head of the Sahwa (Awakening) tribal councils in the province. “The arrests occurred in a raid operation, 8 km west of Basra,” a local security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Yesterday, a security source from Basra said that the head of the Sahwa (Awakening) tribal councils in the province was seriously wounded as was his son, while his wife was killed when unknown gunmen used a grenade to attack their house western Basra city. “The attack occurred late Friday evening, 8 km west of Basra,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
