Gunman, 2 civilians killed, injured in northern Tikrit

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) A gunman and civilian were killed and another civilian injured due to an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device in one of the villages of Shurqat district of northern Tikrit.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “A gunman was emplaced an IED where it exploded and resulted in killing him and another civilian who was close to the explosion area,” noting that “Another civilian was injured due to the explosion which happened in one of the villages of Shurqat district of northern Tikrit.”

“The security forces hurried to the explosion area and transferred the corpses to the morgue and the injured to the nearby hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
