Gunmen attack Sahwa checkpoint in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Four Sahwa elements were killed due to an armed attack in southern Salah-il-Din province.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”Unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpoint belongs to Sahwa forces in Sheikh Jamel area within Dejeil district of southern Salah-il-Din province,” noting that “The armed attack resulted in killing four elements of the checkpoint.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the police transported the dead bodies of the victims to the morgue.”
