Gunmen kidnap civilian in Khanaqeen

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Unknown armed men abducted a civilian citizen in Himreen area, director of al-Saadiya suburb’s major crimes investigations’ office said on Saturday. “The incident took place this evening in Himreen area, 13 km to the north of al-Saadiya,” Farhad Rifaat told IraqiNews.com. “Kidnappers were using a pick-up vehicle when they conducted the abduction,” he said. He did not mention further details, but noted “they took the abducted civilian to unknown place, and left his car at the kidnapping place.” Al-Saadiya suburb is 155 km northeast of Baaquba, which is the capital city of Diala province and lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
