Gunmen kill top ISIS leader in central Hawija

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – On Thursday, a local source in Kirkuk province said, that an ISIS senior leader has been killed in a militant attack in central al-Hawija, located southwest of the province.
The source told IraqiNews, “Today, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a top leader of the ISIS group, known as Abu Khattab al-Jawali, in central Hawija; which led to his death immediately,” noting that, “The group’s elements lifted the body and began inspecting to find the militants.”
