IED goes off in northern Basra

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device went off Monday in Basra, according to a security source. “The bomb exploded in Khamsa Meel region in northern Basra, with no word on casualties,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. A series of explosions hit several parts of Iraq on Monday, during which scores of people were killed or wounded. Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad. SH (P) 4
