Interior Ministry announces Dhuluiya airport purged, Iraqi flag raised on it

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, the Ministry of Interior announced that the Dhuluiya airport was purged and Iraqi flag was raised on it.

The ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Federal police command with the support of the people managed to purge Dhuluiya airport.”

Maan added that the forces raised the Iraqi flag over the airport terminal.

On December 26, 2014, the Badr Organization announced a number areas in the Dhuluiya district south of Tikrit were purged by the security forces and the people, referring that Dhuluiya’s military airport was surrounded from several quarters.
