IP severely injured in Tikrit

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi policeman was severely injured due to an armed attack targeting a police patrol northern Tikrit, capital of Salah il-Din province.

Security source told Iraqi News on Saturday “Gunmen opened fire targeting police patrol during its passage through Sheikh Ahmed Village to the north of Tikrit, resulted in severely injuring one of the patrol’s members.”

“A police force cordoned off the incident place and launched search-raid for the gunmen while an ambulance transported the injured to a hospital for treatment,” the source added.
