Iraqi army announces killing 22 ISIS members in Makhmur

( Nineveh – On Tuesday, an officer in the army’s 72nd brigade announced, that the army forces killed 22 ISIS members west of Makhmur, while repelling ISIS attack on the army’s headquarters in the district.

Major General Amin Shekhani said in a statement received by, “This morning, Iraqi army forces foiled an attack launched by ISIS on the areas of Kabrouk, Mahana and Kharbrdan west of Makhmur,” pointing out that, “ISIS used two booby-trapped vehicles during the attack.”

Shekhani added, “The clashes resulted in the killing of 22 ISIS members.”
