 Iraqi army destroys 13 ISIS camps in Hamrin Hills, says Dijla Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – On Monday, Dijla Operations Command announced, that the Iraqi army forces had managed to destroy 13 ISIS training camps in the area of Hamrin Hills.

The commander of Dijla Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir al-Zaidi, stated for IraqiNews.com, “During the past months, Dijla Operations forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters have succeeded in destroying 13 military camps belonging to ISIS in the area of Hamrin Hills located within the borders of Diyali, Kirkuk and Salahuddin,” pointing out that, “The camps were vital sites for the ISIS militants in preparation to attack the safe and stable areas.”

Al-Zaidi also added, “Some of the military camps were large and included workshops for manufacturing vehicle bombs and improvised explosive belts,” pointing out that, “The destruction of the camps helped secure vast areas in Hamrin Hills and reduce security threats.”
