Iraqi forces carry on offensive operations in northern Babel

Babel (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday a source within the police force stated that Iraqi security forces managed to kill tens of ISIS militants during a security operation in northern Babel.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, that this evening, the security forces began an offensive operation, noting that the Iraqi forces will aim at liberating Jarif al-Sakhr, located in northern Baghdad. “Today’s operation resulted in tens of deaths among ISIS militants and many others fleeing away” said the source.

Noteworthy, Iraqi defense ministry said yesterday that the army accompanied by Iraqi security forces will carry on the offensive against ISIS in Jarif al-Sakhr in north of Babel.
