Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) We Are Coming, Nineveh Operations Command announced on Saturday liberating four villages, north of the city of Mosul, from the control of the Islamic State group.

Commander of operations, Lieutenant General Abdel Amir Yarallah, said in a press statement, “Troops of the army’s 16 brigade liberated the villages of Qarah Tapah, Qura Ghariban, Darawish and Abu Jarbou’a, and raised Iraqi flag over their buildings.”

“Heavy human and material losses were inflicted on the enemy,” Yarallah added.

Joint security forces, backed by Army Aviation and international coalition forces, are participating in the ongoing battles to liberate the city of Mosul from the ISIS grip.
