Iraqi Security Forces, tribesmen defeat new ISIL attack on Dholueya

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Police in Dholueya district of southern Tikrit assured that local police supported by tribesmen from Jubour tribe killed 19 terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant and confronted an attack for the ISIL on the district.

Colonel Qindeel al-Jubouri stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The terrorists of the ISIL launched a new attack targeting Jubour area in Dholueya district on Tuesday evening coming from Khazraj area but the heroes from security forces and Jubour tribe confronted the attack.”

He added “The ISF killed three suicide bombers beside killing 15 ISIL elements and injuring many others and destroyed two vehicles during the attack.”

“An Iraqi Army officer killed a sniper from the ISIL and injured another near the cemetery located western of Dholueya,” he noted. /End/
