ISF, volunteers defeat ISIL in northern Babel

Babel (IraqiNews.com) A force from the Iraqi Security Forces supported by the volunteers launched more than 25 mortar shells targeting the position of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant in the areas of Ruwaiya, Fadhliya and Farsiya in Jurf al-Sakher district of northern Babel, a security source from Babel Operations Command stated to IraqiNews.com.

The source added “The operation was based on intelligence information,” noting that “the volunteers also captured two non-Iraqi Arab nationality terrorists who were climbing on the trees to follow up the movements of ISF.”

“The force moved more than 10 km towards Amriyat al-Fallujah area despite the lack of weapons and ammo which hinder the volunteers,” the source concluded.
