Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) Islamic State’s supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has possibly executed one of his closest confidants along with his own family, source has told Alsumaria News on Thursday.

Baghdadi gave the green light for the execution of the victim, nicknamed “Abu Abdullah”, at a house west of Mosul, along with his five-member family which included three kids.

The house was stormed on the dawn of Thursday by ÷ISIS gunmen, according to the source.

“Abu Abdullah was Baghdadi’s box of secrets and a close confidant who organized his personal mails and arranged his meetings with field commanders,” he added, revealing that Abu Abdullah had disappeared with his family two weeks earlier and sought hiding inside a dilapidated house.

Reports have highlighted disarray within ISIS ranks as Iraqi government forces and paramilitary groups continue successful advances towards the liberation of Mosul as part of a major campaign that launched mid October. Many ISIS senior leaderships have either been reported escaped or killed during that period.
