Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Kirkuk Province revealed that the Islamic State militants slaughtered seven civilians after Islam’s Eid al-Fitr prayer, southwest of the province, Alsumaria News reported on Sunday.

The source said that the so-called Sharia court of the Islamic State group in Hawija District sentenced seven civilians to death, on charges of cooperation with Iraqi security forces, while added that the terrorist group slaughtered the civilians, this morning, after Eid al-Fitr prayers in public.

Furthermore, Islamic State militants cut the bodies of the civilians into small pieces, then put the flesh in plastic bags and threw them in the southern suburb of Hawija, the source added on condition of anonymity.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic State is still controlling Hawija District and the areas of al-Rashad, al-Abbasi, al-Zab and al-Riyad that considered the strongholds of the terrorist group, from where it launches attacks on Salahuddin Province and the outskirts of Kirkuk.
