Karbala clans respond to Barazani

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi tribes in Karbala on Monday held a conference to respond to some Kurdish politicians’ statements about Iraq’s clans, said the director of the federal cabinet’s coordination and follow up office. “Around 100 chieftain in addition to 14 support councils participated in the big conference,” Mohammed Abdulsahib told IraqiNews.com. For his part, Sheikh Jalal Mhana, one of the city’s chieftains, said “Clans that participated in the conference decided to sue any political figure, regardless of his or her position, if he or she described the clans in way that violates the clans’ patriotic motivations and roots.” The holy city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of Baghdad.
