Kirkuk bike bomb casualties up to 11

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from a Friday’s earlier bicycle bomb blast in al-Huweija district rose to four deaths and seven wounded, some of them in critical condition, an official security source said. “The bicycle bomb blast left four people killed and seven others, including a policeman, wounded,” Brig. Sarhad Qader, the director of the Kirkuk Districts’ Police Department (KDPD), told IraqiNews.com news agency. Initial investigations showed that the booby-trapped bike blast was not the result of a suicide operation. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Kurdish, Turkmen and Arab population, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 3
