Kurdish forces arrest local Arab official in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Kurdish Peshmerga forces arrested the head of al-Hamdaniya suburb council (an Arab) and his guard, and took them to an unknown place. “Peshmerga forces arrested Hussein Hamad al-Taee, head of the al-Hamdaniya council, and one of his guards, and took them to an unknown place,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com nws agency. He said that al-Taee was on his way to work in al-Hamdaniya suburb, 40 km east of Mosul city, when he was stopped at a Kurdish checkpoint and was taken to an unknown location.
