Kuwaiti, Iraqi interior ministers discuss bilateral security cooperation

Kuwaiti ُEmir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets Interior Minister Dr. Yasin Al-Yaseri in Kuwait.

Kuwait ( – Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lieutenant General Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on Tuesday discussed with Iraqi Interior Minister Dr. Yasin Al-Yaseri ways of enhancing security cooperation between the two countries.

KUNA quoted a statement issued by the Kuwaiti General Directorate for Relations and Information Security as saying that Sheikh Khalid stressed the deeply-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and keenness of the leadership of the two countries to overcome all difficulties hindering developments of such ties as well as unifying visions on all regional and international issues.

The meeting also touched on the overall security situation in the region and means of activating coordination and joint cooperation between security agencies in the two brotherly countries, the statement added.

For his part, the Iraqi interior minister expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Kuwait.

He indicated that there is a complete consensus between the two countries on issues of mutual concern.
