Local elections nominee injured northern Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Patriotic Sons of Iraq Coalition stressed that one of its nominees for the next local elections was attacked by shootings by gunmen resulted in injuring him.

The statement clarified that “Gunmen attacked the nominee, Abdul Razaq Jabir, of the PSIC northern Baghdad, where they opened fire randomly on his house, resulted in wounding him in his arm then the gunmen burned his car before their escape.”

“The nominee has received threats a week ago by unknown sides calling him to withdraw his nomination, yet he refused to submit to these threats,” the statement added.

“This coward act would not dissuade us from continuing our political action that aims to serve the people despite all the risks and challenges,” the statement concluded.
