Local elections nominee killed in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) A nominee for the upcoming local elections was killed on Tuesday in hands of gunmen to the east of Mosul.

IraqiNews.com correspondent reported that “Gunmen opened fire targeting Ahmed al-Sabawi, a candidate for Um Al Rabiein Gathering in Sukar neighborhood of eastern Mosul, resulted in killing him immediately.”

“Security force rushed to the incident place and transported the dead body of the victim to the morgue,” he added.
