Maliki appoints new Federal Police Commander

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The General Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki decided to entrust the office of Federal Police Command to Major General General Raed Shakir Jawdat, the Police Commander of Wasit.

Informed security sources told IraqiNews.com “The Commander General of Armed Forces, Maliki has appointed Wasit Police Commander Major General General Raed Shakir Jawdat as commander of the Federal Police.”

He also appointed Brigadier General Wasim Rafid to commander Wasit police, according to the source.
