 Maliki-Jones meeting focuses on Mosul liberation

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Head of State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, after meeting US ambassador to Iraq, Stuart Jones on Wednesday announced about the need for coordination and cooperation between all parties to end the presence of the ISIS in Mosul. Jones, on the other hand, said about US’ keenness to establish stronger relations with Iraq.

Maliki in a statement issued after his meeting with Jones, said, “The meeting discussed about the latest developments in Iraq and rest of the region. It, however, more precisely discussed about the ongoing liberation operations of Mosul and support provided for the same by US-led international coalition.”

“All parties need to coordinate and cooperate among themselves for ending ISIS presence in Mosul. Only then unity of the community will be ensured and further bolster efforts to liberate the usurped areas and ensure the protection of displaced people,” Maliki further added.
