Mass grave of former regime’s victims found in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A mass grave of victims of the former regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was found in the area of Shatt al-Arab in Basra, according to the director of the human rights bureau in southern Iraq on Thursday. “The grave was discovered in al-Jabbasi, Shatt al-Arab district, eastern Basra city, and would be opened for the purpose of surveying the remains,” Mahdi al-Tamimi told IraqiNews.com news agency.
