Maysan police denies reports over children kidnapping gangs in Maysan

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) The Police Command of Maysan province denied the news over gangs for kidnapping children in the province.

The Media Advisor of Maysan Police Commander Muhaned al-Hashimi, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com in Friday that ”The news, which were reported from some media outlets, concerning the gangs and terrorism groups specialized in kidnapping children in Maysan are groundless,” stressing that ”There are elements spread these rumors in order to disturb the security situation in the province and to arouse the fear among the citizens of Maysan province.”

The statement added that ”The security forces are going on in applying the strict security measures whether at the center of Amara city or in the suburbs to foil any attempt aims to disturb the security situation in the province.”

The statement pointed out that “The citizens are demanded to cooperate with the security forces and inform any suspicious incident or criminals via the police stations in order to preserve the security gains which has been achieved in the province.”
