Iraqi Minister of Defense arrives in headquarters of Samarra Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Sunday, an informed source revealed, that the Iraqi Minister of Defense Khaled al-Obeidi arrived in the headquarters of Samarra Operations Command in southern Tikrit in Salahuddin Province to check on the security situation in the district.
The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “This morning, Iraqi Defense Minister, Khaled al-Obeidi has arrived in the headquarters of Samarra Operations Command to check on the security situation in Samarra District and the latest military progress against ISIS gangs.”
The source added, “Obeidi met the commander of the army’s 9th brigade Major General Qassim Nezal, Samarra Operations’ Commander Major General Emad al-Zuhairi, Deputy Army Chief of Staff Major General Abdel Amir Yar and a number of security leaders in Samarra Operations Command.”
