MoD: ISF ends IS’ besiege on IA in Fallujah

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Defense confirmed on Saturday that “The Iraqi Security Forces ended the besiege imposed by the terrorists of the Islamic State on the soldiers of the Iraqi Army 1st Division in Fallujah city.”

A statement by the MoD received by IraqiNews.com cited “The ISF managed to end the besiege imposed by the IS’ terrorists on the soldiers of the IA 1st Division in Fallujah city.”

The statement added “Units of the Baghdad Operations Command joined forces of Anbar Operations Command at the suburbs of Fallujah city to conduct a security operation southern the city.” /End/
