MoI denies news reported about Sheikh Mahdi Sumaydai

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior denied the news which reported that the Chairman of Sunni Fatawe Council, Sheikh Mahdi al-Sumaydai, formed an armed force to release his nephew who was arrested on terrorism charges.The Ministry of Interior declared in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”Sumydai just questioned about the charges and the case and he did not intervene in the work of the investigation committee at all.””Such news aim at arousing sectarian sedition while Iraq requires the unity of all Iraqis together to support the security forces in our war against terrorism,” the statement concluded. \END\
