Mosul’s Islamic Governor arrested in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Wali (Islamic Governor) of the underground “Islamic State of Iraq” in western Mosul, has been detained by Federal Police, a security source said on Thursday. “The so-called Mosul’s Wali of the underground (Islamic State of Iraq) was detained by the Federal Police, in an assault by its 3rd Division on west Mosul’s Oil District,” the security source said, adding that the “detainee was among the wanted persons, who is now under investigation.”   SKH (TP)/SR 749
