MP Shibani survives assassination attempt

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) MP Ghazwan al-Shibani of Ahrar Parliamentary Bloc within the Iraqi National Alliance survived an assassination attempt in central Diwaniya city on Sunday evening.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “An Adhesive Bomb attached to Shibani’s vehicle near his office in Ta’mim neighborhood of central Diwaniya on Sunday evening.”

“MP Shibani survived the assassination attempt,” the source added, noting that “The explosion caused material damage for the vehicle.”

“Police forces started an investigation over the explosion,” the source concluded. /End/
