NOC returned 100 detainees to Baghdad– official

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Ninewa Operations Command (NOC) sent back 100 out of 139 detainees to Baghdad, revealing there are 100 arrest warrants in Mosul city not carried out yet, a local official said on Saturday. “Some 139 persons had been arrested randomly in the western Mosul neighborhoods of al-Rifaie, al-Najjar and Tammuz 17 but the NOC returned 100 of them to Baghdad,” said Abdulraheem al-Shimari, the chairman of the Ninewa Provincial Council’s Security & Defense Committee, in statements to Iraqi News. “Among the detainees were ordinary people and notables in the city who have no criminal records,” he added.
