Number of ISIS foreign fighters is limited to 10%, says official

(IraqiNews.com) Iraqi paramilitary volunteer forces, known as al-Hashed al-Sha’abi revealed yesterday, that the number of the ISIS foreign fighters is only limited to 10% of the group’s total force.

The paramilitary volunteer forces deputy, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandes, confirmed that the military operations in the outskirts of al-Daluwiyia district have shown some indications regarding the number of ISIS foreign elements.

He said that the operations in Daluwiya resulted in killing ‘some foreign fighters,’ including ‘Chinese and Saudi’ nationals.

But he asserted that the number of Arab and Foreign elements within the group ‘would not exceed 10%’ of its total force, noting that, “the rest are only from the local people whom have been recruited by the group in the areas it controls.”
