Obeidi in USA, to attend conference of defense ministers

(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD- The Iraqi Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi has reached United States, where he will attend the conference of defense ministers of the nations that are a part of the International Coalition.

In a statement issued to the media, the ministry said, “Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi has reached the United States for attending a conference of the defense ministers of the countries of the international coalition. The conference will discuss several issues including training of the Iraqi forces and the battle to liberate Mosul. The issue regarding displaced persons will also be discussed in the conference.”

Adding further the statement stated, “The conference will be held on July 20, which will be followed by a meeting of foreign and defense ministers of the countries which are a part of the International Coalition.”
