Old Kurdish woman injured by Iranian shelling of Iraqi Kurdistan’s borders

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: An old woman has been injured by Iranian shelling that resumed on the border areas of northern Iraq ’s Kurdistan Region on Sunday night, a Border Guards Command’s source reported on Monday.   “The Iranian artillery resumed shelling villages of Iraqi Kurdistan’s Saidakan area of Soran Township , wounding an old woman on Sunday night,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   A Kurdish shepherd was killed by Iranian sniper fire on Saturday.   The border areas of Iraqi Kurdistan had been witnessing attacks by Turkey and Iran , that killed and injured dozens of citizens and caused severe material damage, forcing hundreds of families to desert their home villages in the area.   SKH (ST)   219
