Peshmerga find bodies of 40 ISIS fighters killed in US air strikes in al-Khazir

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Kurdish Peshmerga Forces announced on Wednesday, they have found 40 bodies belonging to ISIS militants in the al-Khazir area in eastern Mosul, confirming the results of US airstrikes against 12 ISIS vehicles in the area.

The leader of the Zirfani Brigade, Colonel Shawkat Zibari stated, “Yesterday evening, Peshmerga Forces found 40 dead bodies that belonged to the ISIS group.” Zibari said, “US Army carried out airstrikes to help our troops and noted that al-Khazir and five villages in the surrounding area have been liberated.”
