Policeman arrested in west of Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi forces arrested on Thursday a policeman for helping armed groups in transporting weapons and explosives and helping suicide bombers to cross the Iraqi-Syrian borders, according to a police source. “Acting on intelligence information, Iraqi Special Forces (SWAT) arrested on Thursday (Feb. 4) Ahmad Kroud al-Ugeil, a policeman, in Abtakh village in Rabieaa district, northern Talafar,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “He confessed to contributing in the carrying of weapons and explosives through the Syrian borders into Iraq,” he added. “He also admitted to helping bombers to enter Iraq,” the source pointed out.
