Robbers nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces have arrested two robbery gangs and seized an arms cache in Basra, a local security source said on Wednesday. “Local police forces arrested the robbers in al-Moufiqiya and al-Jumhouriya areas, downtown Basra,” the source, who requested to remain unnamed, told IraqiNews.com news agency. Meanwhile, Zubair police forces found a cache containing arms and ammunition in a farm in western Basra, the source added. The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
