Security forces clash with civilians in Erbil province

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) Armed clashes broke out between civilians and security forces in Erbil of Kurdistan Region.

The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported on Tuesday that “The armed clashes broke out between the Kurdish security forces and civilians when some nightclubs and hotels were attacked on the background of a press article targeted the Prophet Mohammad.”

The losses and human causalities due to armed clashes are still unknown until now.

Dohuk province has witnessed on January 2011 similar demonstrations when dozens of persons conducted attacks targeting shops that sell alcohol and massage centers in Zakho district of Dohuk province.
