Security forces foil ISIS attack by 5 suicide bombers on Muqdadiyah

( Diyala – The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Saturday foiling an attack launched by ISIS on Abu Saida vicinity in Mukdadiya District northeast of Baqubah.

The Military Intelligence Directorate said in a statement followed by Iraqi News, “Based on accurate intelligence information, a force from the Military Intelligence [Directorate] raided gatherings of ISIS gangs inside one of Diyala orchards, killing five [ISIS] suicide bombers wearing explosive belts.”

The statement added, “The suicide bombers were planning to target markets and checkpoints in Abu Saida vicinity and the surrounding villages in Mukdadiyah.”
