Security official survives assassination attempt

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A security official with Colonel Rank survived an assassination attempt of northern Tikrit.

A security force stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “An Adhesive Explosive Device was emplaced in the vehicle of the Colonel, exploded while he was heading to his Shurqat district of northern Tikrit.”

“The explosion did not injure him where the security forces hurried to the explosion scene to avoid any further explosions,” the source concluded.
