Security official survives assassination attempt
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An official within the Interior Ministry survived an assassination attempt when a car bomb targeted his motorcade of western Baghdad.
A Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “A Brigadier General within the Interior Ministry survived an assassination attempt when a car bomb exploded, targeting his motorcade near Saah restaurant in the 14th of Ramadan Street of western Baghdad.”
“The explosion resulted in killing one of the guards of the Brigadier General and injuring a civilian and policeman in addition to causing material damages to the nearby shops and cars,” he added, noting that “The Brigadier General did not get hurt by the explosion.”
