Situation in Abu Ghraib jail under control – source

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The situation in the Abu Ghraib prison is totally under control, a justice ministry source said on Saturday, denying the possibility of moving inmates to another location. “The situation has been under control since Friday (Sept. 11) and there are no plans to move prisoners to another place,” the source told Iraqi News. The notorious Abu Ghraib facility has witnessed unrest during the past couple of days after clashes among prisoners left one man killed and 40 others wounded. Some of the inmates started a fire in the building corridors but the security forces eventually managed to bring the unrest under control. AmR (P)/SR 1
