(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – According to a security source in Kirkuk province, a number of elements of the ISIS organization, including a Libyan ISIS leader, had been either killed or wounded during armed clashes with the Peshmerga forces northwest of the province.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, “The Peshmerga forces repelled, this evening, an attack by a group of ISIS militants driving vehicles which had carried medium-weapons in an attempt to target gatherings of Peshmerga in the axis of al-Gharra in the district of al-Dabs (45 km northwest of Kirkuk).”

The source, who requested anonymity, added: “The attack resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of ISIS elements, including a senior commander named Abu Muhajir al-Liybi.”
