Suicide bomber injures 2 cops in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen were wounded on Wednesday in a suicide car bomb explosion in eastern Mosul, a police source said. “A suicide bomber blew up a car crammed with explosives targeting a police vehicle patrol in Kokegli region in eastern Mosul, injuring two policemen, who rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source told IraqiNews.com. He did not give more details. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. The original city of Mosul stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient biblical city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has now grown to encompass substantial areas on both banks, with five bridges linking the two sides.
