Suicide bombing in Kadhimiya kills 4 and injures 17

( BAGHDAD – A security source informed today that at least four people were killed and 17 others were injured in a suicide bombing attack in Kadhimiya earlier today.

Sharing details about the incident by recollecting descriptions by the eyewitnesses, the source said, “A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up this morning on the street leading from the Eden Square to Sanaa Square in Kadhimiya, north of Baghdad. Four people were killed and 17 others injured. The toll, however, is likely to increase.”

Seeking anonymity the source informed, “Security forces later cordoned off the area. Ambulances rushed to the area moved the injured to a nearby hospital.”
