Thi-Qar police announces vehicle ban during elections

THI-QAR /Iraqi News The Thi-Qar police department announced a vehicle ban on elections day, scheduled next Sunday, local police chief said on Monday. “We have received orders from high security authorities to announce a ban on vehicles throughout Thi-Qar during the elections next Sunday (March. 7),” General Sabah al-Fatlawi told Iraqi News. Thi-Qar comes in the fourth rank regarding the number of registered voters after Baghdad, Basra and Ninewa. There are 991667 voters in the province.
