Turkey expressed readiness to provide weapons for Iraq, says official
(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, MP Abbas al-Bayati revealed, that Turkey expressed readiness to provide weapons for Iraq, stressing that Ankara has also offered to cooperate in fighting terrorism on more than one level.
The member of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Relations, Abbas al-Bayati, told IraqiNews in an interview, “Ankara has expressed clear willingness to cooperate with Iraq in terms of fighting terrorism in addition to providing the Iraqi Army with weapons, especially that Turkey has factories for light and medium weapons.”
Noteworthy, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz has met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar-al-Abadi and his Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari during an official visit to Baghdad yesterday morning.
