Turkish artillery shells border areas in Kurdistan Region

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish artillery shelled the border areas of Amedy district in Dohuk province.

The website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) quoted a source in Derlook neighborhood as saying “The Turkish artillery shelled, Wednesday morning, Htet, Rchaoh, Burji , and Leslie villages in Nahel area as well as Sheve and Jimji villages in Nero and Rekan areas.”

The website added that “The Turkish shelling continued for an hour,” noting that “The human casualties and the material damages due to shelling are not identified yet.”

From time to time, the Turkish forces bomb the Kurdistan border villages under the claim of chasing PKK elements in the border areas.
